Privacy Policy — Recurring Bills

Recurring Bills ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal finance tracker for recurring obligations, EMI/loan calculators, and a borrowing tracker. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. We designed Recurring Bills to be private by default.

The short version

• The app works fully offline; your data lives on your device.
• You only share data with our servers if you choose to create an account for cloud backup and sync.
• We show no ads, use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and never sell your data.
• You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app at any time.

What data we collect

If you create an optional account, we collect and store:

• Email address — used to create and secure your account and to sign you in.
• Financial information you enter — your recurring obligations, EMIs, cards, lenders, borrowings, repayments, and (optionally) your monthly income. This is stored so it can be backed up and synced across your devices.

If you never sign in, none of this leaves your device. We do not collect location, contacts, photos, device identifiers for tracking, or advertising data.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to provide the app's features:

• Authenticating your account and keeping it secure.
• Backing up and syncing your entries across your devices.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or tracking you across other apps or websites.

How your data is stored and protected

• Network traffic between the app and our server uses HTTPS (TLS) encryption.
• Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; we never store your plaintext password.
• Authentication tokens on your device are kept in the operating system's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, the Android Keystore / EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android).

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. Data is stored on infrastructure we operate to run the sync service. We may disclose information only if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data until you delete it. You can delete your account and all its server-side data at any time from within the app: Settings → Sign in → Delete account. This removes your account and associated data from our servers and clears it from the device. Uninstalling the app also removes local data from that device.

Children

Recurring is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
